Yearning for the homeland

Poster:

• Transtaltion: “Longing for my homeland, if I die here. Make my grave where my folks are. Let me smell the vines of my ancestral land. I will live in my dead if body is burried there.”
• Acrylic paint on canvas mounted on sturdy mdf board. Inscription is heat fused vinyl.
• Taken from the poetry of famous mystic Sindhi poet who wrote it more than 300 years ago. It describes the undying love of Marvi, the heroine, for her people and the land of her birth.
• Size 55 cm (W) x 36 cm (H).
